The Family Business Begins In 1946
Molloy Brothers Moving & Storage started in 1946 as a family business and expanded rapidly by providing high quality residential moving services. In 1957, Molloy Brothers Moving became an agent for Allied Van Lines and grew into one of New York’s largest residential movers. The company then expanded to New Jersey and to three Florida locations. In 1973, Molloy Brothers Moving changed its affiliation to North American Van Lines.
In 1976 the Molloy brothers sold the business to non-family members. At this point in time, the business focus moved from Molloy Bros to T. James Molloy exclusively when he joined North American Van Lines as a sales executive in the New York City corporate sales office.
Joining Forces With Mayflower Transit
In 1998 the company joined forces with Mayflower Transit, one of the largest and most well known name in the moving business. Mayflower recognizes Molloy Brothers Moving as a leading agent and has presented the company with several awards including the Admiral’s Club Household Goods Award, the Million Dollar Club $4,000,000 Plus Award and the Customer Service Heart of Quality Award.
Molloy Mayflower’s Unsurpassed Resources
Today, Molloy Brothers Moving is one of the largest agents for Mayflower. This relationship gives customers the advantage of working with an experienced local professional moving company as well as having access to a vast network of agents across the United States and abroad. This depth of support is unmatched in the industry, and follows the Molloy philosophy of managing a customer’s move from day one through completion.

Thank you for your email.
My move was top notch.
Chris Blank knows his stuff for sure. I could tell that this was a guy who had done this before! As first contact, he definitely inspired confidence in Molloy Bros.
Bill Fritz is a consummate moving man. Within five minutes of his arrival at my apartment in Brooklyn, certainly not the easiest of origin locations, I knew I could relax and let him take care of the whole process. I trusted him completely and my trust was justified. He was calm and solidly competent as well as funny and kind!
The guys he brought with him, Bruce and Chevel in Brooklyn and Rich in Casselberry, were also obviously experienced in household moving and it was a pleasure to work with all three. Again, Bill’s expertise was clear in his choice of colleagues.
I have mostly antique furniture that I got from my father. A lot of the pieces were in our house when I was a little girl. The sentimental value is off the charts!! With Bill in charge, I wasn’t worried. Thank you, Bill.
The only hair-raising moment was when I went online the first night on the road from NYC to FL to confirm the available balance on my credit card and discovered there was none because Mayflower had inadvertently charged the $3200 fee 3 times.
YIKES! A hefty amount…
Fortunately, the people in your office, Sasha, Jade, Jeanne and Vinnie in Operations are also terrific.
As soon as I called that morning, Jeanne was on the phone to Mayflower immediately and back in touch with me just as fast with a positive outcome. The commitment to resolve problems quickly is an excellent indicator of a company’s mettle.
So, that leaves you, Diane! In a nutshell? Sheer relief that the person with whom I would be dealing knew what she was talking about. I could tell that you would be able to answer my questions, would not leave me hanging and would lessen the stress of moving with your proficiency and humor. Thank you.
As you know, my family was in the moving business for 40 years as agents for Allied Van Lines in New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida.
I worked as a secretary in NJ, then in Sales and finally Operations in FL as a dispatcher for 15 of those years. I would be proud to be part of an outfit as good as Molloy Bros.
Please convey my sincere thanks to Mr. Molloy and the rest of your crew.

This letter is in reference to the great job your crew did on November 29, 2013. They were very professional and handled all my belongings with care. All my furniture and personal items were wrapped carefully.
The job was not easy, as I had heavy pieces and the furniture needed to be placed in a storage facility. Your company was very courteous and professional throughout the whole move.
I just want to commend you on a job well done and on a terrific crew. I will be needing your services within the next several months. I would like to request the same crew if possible.
I also would like to thank you for everything as well. I truly appreciate it.

She always answered my questions and called me back promptly!! The gentlemen doing the packing and move were equally professional and hard working. Everything was received safe and secure!

Dear Mr. James Molloy:
It is with great pleasure that I write to you on behalf of Troop 517. Once again your extremely generous donation in providing transportation and storage along with office furnishings from valued clients became a large part of our successful fund raiser.
Our troop has increased in size since our last fund raiser and we have been able to support the financial portion of our program without loosing sight of the gratitude that our Troop has for your generosity.
We have been able to purchase much needed camping equipment and defray costs on some of our trips. By having proper funding we make the program affordable to all especially families that are in financial trouble. If not for fundraising, some families would find it difficult and not be able to afford their sons take part in Scouting.
Our unit has seen steady growth in the number of boys entering our program and we anticipate increasing membership another 20% by the New Year. We are looking forward and hoping to continue our success and partnering with you in helping us achieve this worthy cause by supporting the Boy Scouts of America.

I’m sorry this note so long to be sent.
The crew that moved me was efficient and amazingly strong. They were polite and very quick. I just wanted you to know that I was very satisfied with the whole process. From Frank Pastore who gave me the estimate to Kim who was my move coordinator who was called many times and was very patient with me because I was moving for the first time after 51 years at East 9th Street.
Thanks again to the whole assortment of people who helped me move.
