The Family Business Begins In 1946
Molloy Brothers Moving & Storage started in 1946 as a family business and expanded rapidly by providing high quality residential moving services. In 1957, Molloy Brothers Moving became an agent for Allied Van Lines and grew into one of New York’s largest residential movers. The company then expanded to New Jersey and to three Florida locations. In 1973, Molloy Brothers Moving changed its affiliation to North American Van Lines.
In 1976 the Molloy brothers sold the business to non-family members. At this point in time, the business focus moved from Molloy Bros to T. James Molloy exclusively when he joined North American Van Lines as a sales executive in the New York City corporate sales office.
Joining Forces With Mayflower Transit
In 1998 the company joined forces with Mayflower Transit, one of the largest and most well known name in the moving business. Mayflower recognizes Molloy Brothers Moving as a leading agent and has presented the company with several awards including the Admiral’s Club Household Goods Award, the Million Dollar Club $4,000,000 Plus Award and the Customer Service Heart of Quality Award.

To Whom it may Concern,
I would just like to write this email stating how GREAT everyone was with the move. Kim, my move coordinator, was always available and helped me feel at ease throughout the WHOLE process. She always answered my questions and called me back promptly!! The gentlemen doing the packing and move were equally professional and hard working. Everything was received safe and secure!
I really would like to thank everyone for a great and stress free experience!!

Dear Mr. James Molloy:
It is with great pleasure that I write to you on behalf of Troop 517. Once again your extremely generous donation in providing transportation and storage along with office furnishings from valued clients became a large part of our successful fund raiser.
Our troop has increased in size since our last fund raiser and we have been able to support the financial portion of our program without loosing sight of the gratitude that our Troop has for your generosity.
We have been able to purchase much needed camping equipment and defray costs on some of our trips. By having proper funding we make the program affordable to all especially families that are in financial trouble. If not for fundraising, some families would find it difficult and not be able to afford their sons take part in Scouting.
Our unit has seen steady growth in the number of boys entering our program and we anticipate increasing membership another 20% by the New Year. We are looking forward and hoping to continue our success and partnering with you in helping us achieve this worthy cause by supporting the Boy Scouts of America.

I’m sorry this note so long to be sent.
The crew that moved me was efficient and amazingly strong. They were polite and very quick. I just wanted you to know that I was very satisfied with the whole process. From Frank Pastore who gave me the estimate to Kim who was my move coordinator who was called many times and was very patient with me because I was moving for the first time after 51 years at East 9th Street.
Thanks again to the whole assortment of people who helped me move.
Pat – Brooklyn, NY
